All The WIND Mobile Phones Reviewed, Sorta

Canada’s potential fourth national wireless carrier,
WIND Mobile, just launched yesterday with four intriguing phones and a data stick. They’re carrying the BlackBerry Bold 9700, the HTC Maple, the Samsung Gravity 2, and the Huawei U7519, along with a Huawei E181 data modem.
WIND is a GSM AWS carrier, which means they use the same devices on the same frequency bands as T-Mobile here in the US. WIND’s software builds will be somewhat different; for instance, the T-Mobile USA version of the BlackBerry 9700 supports Wi-Fi phone calls, while WIND’s does not. But you can get a pretty good idea of the quality of these phones from the existing reviews out there.
We’ve reviewed all of the devices except the Maple, which is known as the Dash 3G here in the USA. So we’ll link to someone else’s review for that one – in this case, Vince Nguyen’s review at PhoneMag. (Vince may not work here, but we know he’s smart.)
WIND Mobile buyers should check out these reviews before grabbing their new phones:
