One of the most criticized aspects of Windows Vista was that regardless of the benefits and the shortcomings it had, there was really no reason to upgrade it. There was no spectacular application that made users want to upgrade. This left Microsoft with very little choice other than try to force people to use Vista by ending the possibility to purchase Windows XP. At the end of the road, Microsoft’s rather pushy action may have been what actually spelled the demise of Windows Vista.
Â
Perhaps consumers may have chosen to go with Vista but once the team over at Microsoft made it compulsory to upgrade, people protested. No one wanted to fork over more money and they did not want to move. This is when Microsoft put all of their energy on the new Microsoft 7 that will be released toward the end of October.
Â
In order to be prepared for the new operating system, IT professionals are rushing to take part in training. There are many reputable online companies who offer the training. You can easily purchase a Windows 7 training CD that will walk you through every single aspect of the system. Most large corporations offer Windows 7 training to their employees, but for those people out there that want to take the training on their own time and at their own speed, Windows 7 training is available for purchase on CD and DVD. Included in this type of comprehensive training are Windows 7 training videos that are made by certified professional instructors who walk you through all of the new features.
Â
Windows 7 is highly anticipated as it is designed to make working much simpler. There will be a total of six different editions of Windows 7 available: Home Basic, OEM, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. The main marketing done by Microsoft will be aimed only on the Home Premium and Professional editions.
Â
Microsoft reports that Windows 7 is designed to run well on computers that have the system requirements for Windows Vista.
Â
Windows 7 is anticipated as being the next ‘big thing’ to come out of giant Microsoft, so be sure that you get the training now to ensure that you will be ready for the next generation of operating systems to hit the scene! As things look now, Windows 7 is the operating system of the future and it is jammed packed full of exciting new technology that will not only make working easier, but also more fun.

Windows 7 run slower than XP? Impossible! As a latest operating system, Microsoft improved it in all details greatly. So it must be a mistake to feel that. Did you try some windows 7 tweaks to optimize it? Yes, it runs faster than any other operating systems in the past. But it doesn’t meat that you don’t need to tweak Windows 7.
Comparing to Windows XP, Vista or others, Windows 7 built-in more services and utilities to enhance its stability. Super gorgeous visual effects make Win 7 like an artwork. Actually, most of them are unnecessary. On the contrary, they consume too many system resources to run windows faster. You have no choice but to update hardware or tweak Windows 7.
I am a computer technician with over 20 years in this field. So if you want to change your hardware, I can give you some professional advice about hardware for free! Ha ha.
But now, you should try some Windows 7 tweaks before you buy more 1G memory. First of all, you can disable some of its deluxe effects. Would you like system run faster or look prettier? If you want latter, you don’t have to make this. It is your choice.
Second, you should remove unnecessary services and utilities run at startup right now! There may be more than 500 programs and services that are running quietly when your computer boots. 500 programs and services? How many system resources will be buried in here? Yes, you don’t need to exclaim. And they will obviously lengthen computer boot up time! Removing unwanted start-up items and services can tweak Windows 7 boot faster beyond your mind.
But please turn off a service unless you understand what it does. Disabling some important Microsoft services in error will cause system crash. It’s not funny at all! Or you can select some PC optimizer to tweak windows 7 services for you. Final, don’t run too many programs at the same time too. It will eat up your memory to decrease computer performance.

After the nightmare experience so many people had with Windows Vista on it’s release; it is no surprise that people have been waiting for positive reviews before trying Windows 7. So let’s get cracking and have a look at three of the features of Windows 7 that have really impressed me.
 1. Improved Speed over Windows Vista
One of the big problems experienced with Vista was the speed at which it performed; so this was one of the big challenges that the people at Microsoft had to address. They did this by redesigning how Windows 7 displays graphics to your monitor.
Windows 7 can not start to display things before all the background information is worked out. So you do not get that feeling that your computer is freezing. This change has reduced the wait time for applications to load, save and respond to users’ requests. How this was achieved is not important, what is however important is the fact that this feature really improves usability in Windows 7 over Windows Vista.Â
 2. Home Networking & Media
It is no longer the case that people just use a network in the office, therefore Microsoft have really catered for the home network in Windows 7. The ease at which you can now share your files between computers in your network will surprise you. It is also so much easier to connect printers to your home network and also to connect to your home Wi-Fi connection.
There are loads of new features in Windows 7 to make it easier to share all your MP3s, Videos and TV shows throughout your house by using your home network in Windows 7. You can view music or recorded TV shows from remote computer and play them across the home network. If you want to watch a recorded TV show, you can easily transfer it to your laptop so that you can watch it on the laptop at another time.
 3. Not So Many Annoying Pop-ups
One of the things that really annoyed me about Windows Vista was the fact that when I wanted to do anything with my computer I got a pop-up box asking me if I was sure I wanted to do it; also if an application was looking to do something we got the same pop-up. These constant pop-ups became really quite frustrating. In Windows 7, Microsoft have introduced a setting where you can adjust the settings to reduce or switch off these annoying little pop-up boxes.
My experiences with Windows 7 are all positive and I will be suggesting to my clients based in Dublin to consider installing Windows 7 on new PCs.

A Fatal Exception Error is one of the most commonly seen errors in Windows. Once you’ve seen one on your computer, there is a high chance that it will appear again, because it indicates that something is wrong on your system and unless you fix it, the problem will just keep appearing again and again.
So what does this error mean? When this error occurs, it means that Windows, or the program involved, is not expecting this problem and has no idea how to handle it. As soon as you can after seeing this error, save your work, and then restart the computer.
Once you restart the computer, you should look for an updated version of the program causing this error. If it’s due to Windows itself, be sure to check whether any Windows updates is available, and if so, install them all.
After that, you can do a bad sector check. Scandisk is a program that comes with Windows. Using this program, you can check your hard disk for problems with the disk hardware itself. When data is stored in an area of the disk which is bad, sometimes this causes errors like the Fatal Exception Error, because the data (or file) is corrupted.
After Scandisk is done, you can perform a registry check. The Windows registry is a system database which is heavily used by Windows and many other applications. It is also one of the main causes of most Windows errors. Because the registry bloats up in size, filled with invalid data and errors over time, it is essential to perform maintenance on it so fix these errors.
Using a good registry cleaner software, the entire registry can be searched for problems and these problems fixed. In fact this is such an important operation but most people are not aware that they need to do this. When the registry’s errors, invalid data and duplicate entries are fixed and the registry optimized, Windows runs faster and problems are eliminated. This has to be done periodically so it’s important to choose a good registry cleaner to do the job.

Windows 7 is doing a lot better than Windows Vista did. As far as the OS roll out is going, there are still legacy devices out there that still do not have drivers and software updates to work with the new Windows 7. The huge masses of users who have held on to Windows XP are quite vulnerable to this issue which is why Microsoft made XP Mode virtualization to ease the trouble of transition.
XP Mode is a wholly, licensed copy of Windows XP with Service Pack 3 included in a virtual hard disk (VHD) that runs under Windows Virtual PC. XP-mode enables you to operate Windows XP from within Windows 7 One can add USB devices and seamlessly access the drives on the host Windows 7 system. Windows XP-mode,very importantly, lets you use Windows 7, while still offering a platform for you to use legacy hardware that is not compatible with Windows 7.
There is a god reason here.. Windows XP Mode is only accessible for the Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, and Windows 7 Enterprise editions.. The millions of consumers who still use Windows XP and are considering whether or not to change to Windows 7 Home Premium do not have the hope of leveraging XP Mode to connect older hardware or incompatible software.
The core components which are most important for Windows XP Mode are built in to the operating system, but one will have to download Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode differently. Although Windows Home Premium users can not use Windows XP Mode, you can still use Windows Virtual PC to create your own virtual computer environments.
There is a catch here as well. The hardware of the computer that you install Windows 7 and Windows XP Mode on should support hardware-assisted virtualization. What makes this a particularly tricky catch is that it kind of contradicts the purpose of Windows XP Mode. If one is still running Windows XP and deploying legacy hardware devices, odds are good that you are also using older computer hardware that won’t have the necessary technology to use Windows XP Mode. If that is the case, one will have to buy a new system rather than just upgrading, but one can still use Windows XP Mode to attach older peripherals.
Windows XP Mode is fast. Amazingly fast and it works, and it works awesomely well. It has been proven quite fairly that installing and working with the Windows XP Mode is found to be significantly easier and more gratifying than any other virtual computing environment . If there are legacy peripherals that refuse to work natively in Windows 7, then make sure that it doesn’t stop you from taking advantage of the many imporvisations in Windows 7.
It turns out to be quite unfortunate that Microsoft did not include Windows XP Mode as an choice for Windows Home Premium. Millions of consumers still heavily bank on Windows XP and Microsoft is banking on them to make the change to Windows 7. It is pretty sullen enough that there is no seamless upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7. The least the software developers could have done was to offer consumers with Windows XP Mode to make the transition more faster and easier.
