Designers keep trying to create the perfect home theater PC remote control, and now Lenovo takes a shot at that illusive target with this Multimedia Remote with Keyboard. The 57Y6336’s trackball at the bottom handles cursor movement, with left and right mouse buttons just above it.
But it’s that small keyboard up top that has our attention, just large enough for typing ease, yet not too big, right-sized to avoid wearing out its welcome on your coffee table. The $60 remote uses a 2.4GHz wireless connection to your PC using a tiny USB “nano dongle.”

Los Angeles: After Christmas Sales 2009: It’s time to get ready for After Christmas Sales 2009, that is going to take place from December 26.
Target, one of the largest US retailers, announced Monday that it will operate extended holiday hours ahead of December 25, from 7 am to midnight.
At the same time, JC Penney said that its stores would open at 5 am, the earliest opening on the day after Christmas in store history.
Walmart and Best Buy have not announced their opening time yet, but it’s being said that they would gear up for early sales on Saturday.

Terrorist Attack Attempted on Flight 253 Headed for Detroit

Northwest Airlines Flight 253, which began in Nigeria before stopping in Amsterdam and heading to Detroit, was the target of a terrorist attack on Christmas day. Abdul Mudallad, a 23-year-old Nigerian claimed to be acting on behalf of al-Qaida when he attempted, but failed, to detonate a device that is being described as very sophisticated. The White House responded by increasing air travel security to the appropriate measures. Mudallad is currently in the custody of the U.S Customs and Border Protection.
Abdul Mudallad is claiming to have extremist ties and that he acquired the device in Yemen with instructions as to when the device should be used. He is known in counter-terror circles and is an Islamic extremist. We’ll wait and see if the media tries to cover up his Muslim faith as they did with the Fort Hood shooter.
